Road reopened in New Bedford after fatal multi-car crash

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police responded to a fatal multi-car crash on Route 140 in New Bedford.

State police said the Dartmouth barracks responded to the incident, which officers said had a “confirmed fatality.”

Police added that part of the highway was shut down at the time, and investigations into the “facts and circumstances” of the incident are ongoing.
