RI State Police release ID of 19-year-old woman killed following rollover crash

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — State Police confirmed to ABC6 News that Tuesday morning’s accident that snarled traffic on 95 S in Pawtucket is now a fatal.

Police say 19-year-old Katlina Barbosa, of Pawtucket, died after her car went off the highway and flipped over on the embankment of Interstate 95, near Exit 26 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

State Police told ABC6 News that the 19-year-old woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. She was later pronounced dead.

“No one else was in the car. The woman was found outside of her car, but it is unclear whether she was ejected from the vehicle or exited the vehicle on her own,” said the spokesperson for the State Police, Laura Meade Kirk.

The investigation is ongoing.
