Saturday sun yields to Sunday clouds, another Monday storm on the way
Another soaking plus potentially damaging gusty winds, much like we just had with the last storm
Monday storm, take two? It’s Deja vu all over again. And while this one is a coastal storm, effects will be similar to that of last week’s.
There are some slight differences to this storm too though. Arrival time will be a little later (post-dawn Monday) and the duration will be longer (through the evening.)
We are expecting a general 1-2″ of rain across the area, with the higher end further west and lower end further east.
Winds along the coast could gust over 50 mph, and a bit less further inland (20-40 mph). The problem with the longer duration is that it enhances the threat for coastal flooding at the shore.
Consider using the pleasant day on Saturday to clean up around the yard, including tying down loose holiday decorations – much like last weekend!
No weather alerts have been issued for Southern New England just yet, but they likely will by tomorrow. Stay with ABC6 for all the latest as the impacts from this storm become clearer.
