Saunderstown’s Elizabeth Beisel Finishes 6th in the 400 I-M in Rio

Elizabeth Beisel of Saunderstown finished out of the medals in the 400 I-M  in the Rio Olympics.  Beisel finished 6th in a time of 4:34.98.  Elizabeth had won a silver in the event in 2012.  Katinka Hosszu of Hungry set a world record in winning the event in Rio with a time of 4:26.36.

Barrington’s Andre Weiss and fellow rower Nareg Guregian finished 4th out of 5 boats in their heat in pairs rowing.  The pair must finish in the top three on Sunday to advance to the semifinals.
