Scam letters hit up RI businesses for a third time

It appears that a third round of a scam letters have been sent to Rhode Island businesses.
The letter which says it's from Rhode Island Corporate Compliance asks the business to fill out a form and attach a check for $125.00.
Some business owners have believed the letter and mailed the check to an address that leads to a postal box at the UPS store in Providence.
Chris Barnett the Communications Director for Secretary of State Ralph Mollis said the letter must be lucrative because this is the third mailing of this type.
The Rhode Island Attorney General's office told the Secretary of State that the letter does not appear to violate the color of the law.
