Scattered Showers & T-Storms, Heat & Humidity

Some sun this afternoon with humidity embracing us the second we set foot out the door.  This soupy air mass will remain in place during the next few days.  Today we deal with scattered showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms.  Temperatures will top out around 80 this afternoon.  Hotter air will usher into our region.  This will trigger temperatures to climb to 90s.  We combine the heat with the oppressive dew points, we could be in store for some dangerous heat and heat advisories my need to be issued.  A pop-up thunderstorm is not discarded each day.  Chance of showers expected over the weekend, not washout days, with high heat and humidity.
