School bus involved in Blackston crash

BLACKSTONE, Mass. (WLNE) — A school bus with children on board was involved in a crash in Blackstone, Massachusetts, Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. at Mendon and Main streets and it involved the bus and a SUV.

Police said the bus was carrying elementary-aged children following the end of the school day.

According to police, students on the bus were evaluated on scene with several being taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the SUV was taken to nearby hospital with injuries, though the extent of those injuries is unknown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
