Scituate Police arrest 4 suspects in armed home invasion

SCICIUATE, R.I. – Police have arrested 4 suspects in connection to an armed home invasion on Matteson Road.
Police say the three of the suspects entered the home around 6:30 P.M. with an AR15 rifle and assaulted the 65-year-old homeowner. They through the victim to the ground and held him at gunpoint. After sometime, the suspects fled from the home after being chased down by one of the victims.
Police then located the suspects parked on Matteson Road near Tunk Hill Road.
Police arrested the driver as Justin Zimbrowski, 21, Edwin Torres, 21, Jordan Shonnell, 20, and a 16-year-old that has been been identified.
Police say the Zimbowski was the getaway driver who parked his vehicle on the side of the road as the suspects entered the home.
Shonnell disposed of the gun in a wooded area near by and police determined that the rifle was stolen from a home break-in in Cranston.
The suspects are facing several charges including felony assault, breaking and entering, vandalism, and conspiracy. They are due in 3rd District Court on Friday afternoon.
