CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — More than a day later, blood stains mark the end of the driveway in Central Falls where a Providence man was found shot several times.

Tonight the suspect, 22-year-old Rubi de Leon, is still at large.

Police were called to the home on Cross Street just before 2AM Friday after neighbors heard gunshots.

The victim, 23-year-old Jaseem Manley, was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital.

After the shooting witnesses say de Leon fled the scene, just before police arrived.

Neighbors tell me de Leon lived at the home, and they would often see him, along with his car parked in the driveway, but now he’s nowhere to be found.

To make matters worse, folks who live nearby say shootings are on the rise in this area.

"I go out during the day, not at night. Because it’s too violent at night now," said neighbor Nancy Messier.

"I hope police find that guy, and my prayers with the guy who’s in the hospital," said neighbor Wanda Almodovar.

If you have any information on de Leon’s whereabouts, you’re urged to call Central Falls Police at (401) 727-7411.

Meanwhile police tell us more people could be facing charges.
