Seastreak begins daily ferry service from New Bedford to Martha’s Vineyard

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts ferry company is now offering year-round service from New Bedford to Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard.

Seastreak added two round trips daily starting at 6 a.m. on Thursday. The service was mainly created for commuters going to work on the island.

The company previously ran the high-speed ferry service from mid-April to Columbus Day.

A one way ticket is $45 and round trip is $80.

There are discounted tickets available to commuter passengers and free parking is available through October.

Seastreak encourages regular leisure travelers looking to go to Martha’s Vineyard to use the ferry service, as it will also offer two round trips on weekends.
