Gary Gosselin takes a look at the Somerset home his family has owned for more than a decade. Now hollow, after a fire tore through it early Monday morning.
"I woke up about 1 o’clock this morning and just saw my backyard glowing like there was sunshine,” says Gosselin.
This is the second fire the family have had to deal with at their home in the past year. The last one happening in May.
The home ridden with smoke damage, forced them to find alternate living arraignments. The family which includes a nine and eleven year old have been living in a trailer right next to their home. That fire appears to have started from a battery in the families weed whacker.
Now everything’s changed. Where a garage once stood, now just ash, and the family’s car totaled. Flames even damaging the side of the neighbors home. How the fire began on Clearview Avenue, still a mystery.
"We are just throwing around a lot of theories. I don’t think anyone has any clue,” Gosselin says.
Despite the circumstances, they are staying positive.
"Now it’s a whole 3 month process to go through before we can start construction. It can all be replaced. It will all be replaced,” he adds.
