Seekonk cop buys homeless woman food, hotel room

The Seekonk Police Department made national headlines this weekend, after an officer took it upon himself to assist a distressed homeless woman.

Officer Perry went to her aid after hearing that the woman had not eaten. Perry bought her groceries and even helped secure a hotel room for her to stay in throughout the storm. Photos of Perry buying her food were posted on the department’s Facebook page, and have since been shared thousands of times.

The post says “Officer Perry epitomizes the meaning of Public Service. #classact.”
