CONCORD, N.H. – A Seekonk man has been found guilty of interstate stalking, authorities say.
According to a press release, back in 2013, 48-year-old David Ackell, of Seekonk, Massachusetts, and the unidentified female victim, from New Hampshire, met through social media and an online relationship developed.
Over the course of the relationship, Ackell pressured the victim into sending him nude photographs of herself.
Authorities say Ackell then proceeded to threaten to harm the victim by publicly distributing the images to her family and friends.
“The charge of interstate cyberstalking carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, three years supervised release and a fine of $250,000,” said the release. “Ackell was released on conditions pending the sentencing hearing.”
Ackell will appear in court in April 2017.
