Seekonk voters approve new turf high school football field

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE)- Voters in Seekonk’s special election voted in favor of a new football field and track for the town’s high school on Monday.

The project is estimated to cost about $2.7 million.

The final vote was 546 to 408, after residents backed the initial project back in June.

Residents expect the new field to cut maintenance costs, allow for more use, and to extend the lifespan of other fields.
