Serious crash in Seekonk closes road

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — The Seekonk Police Department said a serious crash closed part of Route 6/Fall River Avenue.

The closure is between the Rehoboth town line and the Cumberland Farms gas station.

Police said a car crashed into a utility pole and the driver was ejected.

She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with “serious injuries.”

Police added that wired were downed on top of a FedEx truck which required National Grid to respond in order to get the driver out.
