Seven Bryant students arrested after brawl last month

Seven Bryant University students were arrested Tuesday after a brawl on campus late last month.

Smithfield Police say on March 21 at around 12:30 a.m. they responded to a reported fight in the Townhouse area of the university.

They say a student had been transported to St. Joseph‘s Hospital before they arrived for injuries sustained during the fight.

Police say an altercation started inside one of the townhouses and spilled outside, before it was broken up by public safety officers.

Police arrested Matthew Kaiser, age 22, of Highland, Maryland, Evan Turner, age 19, of Warwick, Rhode Island, Thomas Ryan, age 19, of Cohasset, Massachusetts, Nicholas Laverde, age 20, of Gloucester, Massachusetts, Alex Spicuzza, age 20, of Cranston, Rhode Island, Matthew O’Brien, age 21, of Mount Sinai, New York and Trevor Roberts, age 22, of Milford, Massachusetts.

They are all charged with Disorderly Conduct and Simple Assault. They were arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
