Several boats burn at Quincy marina

At least five boats caught fire and at least one sank during an early morning blaze at a Quincy marina
Although some people lived on their boats at the Captain’s Cove Marina and people were at the dock preparing their vessels for the winter, there were no reports of injuries in the Thursday morning fire.
Firefighters had to attack the blaze by approaching along a narrow dock that was also burning. The burning boats were near the end of the dock.
The Boston Fire Department’s fire boat also helped out.
Video from the scene showed thick plumes of black smoke rising from the burning boats.
The exact cause remains under investigation.
