Several Providence police officers face re-training and disciplinary actions after house party arrests
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Several Providence police officers are now being disciplined for their actions last month at 4th of July house party.
ABC6 previously obtained body camera video showing the police response on West Friendship Street.
Four people were arrested.
According to Providence police, officers told everyone in the backyard to either leave or go back in the house, but some of them refused.
A spokesperson for the police department says, “an internal review revealed the officers did not follow proper policies and procedures and will now face re-training and disciplinary actions.”
The city has decided to drop the charges against the four people who were arrested.
