PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A North Kingstown level three sex offender faced a judge on Thursday for multiple charges in connection with his attacks on a Providence teen and two other women.
Three different women told Providence Police that a man identified as 53-year-old Roger Corbin attacked them while they were walking then tried to drag them into the woods. He only gave up when they fought back.
Corbin was also arrested in North Kingstown last week after threatening a woman with a knife and trying to drag her into the woods.
The three women that came forward say the attempted attacks took place before Corbin’s arrest in North Kingstown.
Police say Corbin was recently released from jail in September after serving time for raping, and attempting to rape both women and the teen in the 1980s and 1990s.
Corbin was ordered on $60,000 bail with surety.
