Shoplifting arrest leads to stolen vehicle discovery

A foot chase in Dartmouth for a shoplifting suspect resulted in the recovery of a stolen car.
Dartmouth Police were called to Sears for a shoplifting suspect who fled from the store to the Best Buy across the road.
The suspect, 27-year-old Mitchell Violet, was arrested at Best Buy.
Officers found a key to a 2007 Mercedes during the arrest and determined that it was a stolen vehicle out of New Bedford last month.
