Showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, lovely weather ahead!

Unsettled weather this morning across the region with heavy rainfall and storms leads to overcast skies.  Humidity remains in place with temperatures on the coolish side.  We should expect a cooler air mass with less humidity behind this system.  Meanwhile, this afternoon, another round of scattered storms may lead to the threat for flash flooding and excessive rainfall, specially over central Massachusetts and Connecticut.  Lovely weather rolls in with sunny skies, low humidity, and cool temperatures on Wednesday.  Sunny days ahead with moderating temperatures by Friday into the Weekend.
