Showers and storms depart tonight, spectacular weekend before the heat

Showers are soon ending across the area, and it’s now time to gear up for a fantastic weekend.

Clouds quickly break for sun Saturday morning, with highs in the upper 70s in the afternoon and lower humidity. The same is in store for Father’s Day.

Monday will be a comfy day as well, but things begin to heat up on Tuesday. Wednesday-Friday will be in the upper 80s and low 90s, with heat indices beginning to push 100!

All this as we head into the first day of summer on Thursday – talk about appropriate timing!
