Showers Threaten for Sunday

Unsettled weather moves in overnight with a warm front. Clouds build in tonight and lows drop in the mid to upper-50s. There is a slight chance of morning scattered showers as the front comes through. By midday we will have more sunshine. Temperatures respond and top out in the upper-70s. After 5pm, there is a chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly around the Mass Pike, but we could see one or two slip south into northern Providence County. Should we see any thunderstorms, we are not going to see severe storms. Our biggest risk will be gusty, damaging winds and locally heavy rain. As you go closer to the coast, the thunderstorm threat drops. Monday has more cloudiness and a chance of scattered showers. Temperatures will be cooler as well, topping out near 70. Unsettled weather stays through Tuesday morning with a chance of an early thunderstorm, followed by clearing for Wednesday. Wednesday will be a beautiful day with sunshine and milder highs in the mid to upper-70s.
