Six taken to hospital after Fall River fire

Six people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a fire destroyed a multi-family home in Fall River.

Fire Captain Neil Furtado say the fire at the apartment building on Quarry Street began around 5 a.m.

Furtado says the six-apartment building was heavily damaged and is inhabitable.

The Red Cross is helping the families that have been displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
