Skies remain grey this weekend with cold rain changing to snow Sunday night

A wet 1-3" are possible away from the shoreline by Monday afternoon

Dreary conditions persist this weekend. Skies will remain mostly cloudy overnight with areas of patchy fog and drizzle.

Temperatures will barely get to 40 Saturday and likely won’t on Sunday. Our Sunday storm approaches pre-dawn, with a cold beginning in south county before pushing north through the morning. This may mix with sleet and snow in our northern sections as temperatures will be a little bit colder, but it all goes back to remain for the duration of the daylight hours. Our storm will transfer it’s energy to the coast as we get a second push of moisture Sunday night, and it will also drag in colder air as we change back to snow. Not expecting major accumulation, but a slushy 1-3″ is possible away from the coast.

The cold temperatures will prevail through the middle of the week before moderating by week’s end. But hey, we will get the sun back for much of it!
