Sky-high humidity continues, another heat wave possible next week

The summer swelter isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Extremely soupy, tropical air is with us through the end of the week. And then things get hot again beginning Sunday.

Thursday will see some morning showers, with sun breaking out into the afternoon. It will be breezy, with south winds 10-20 mph a welcomed sight across the area.

Friday could see a few showers as well, but is a primarily dry day with varying amounts of clouds.

Saturday should have better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, with Sunday being the dry half of the weekend.

That will allow temps to head back to 90° or higher. And while the humidity drops a bit initially, it is expected to rise back up into next work week.

Stay cool out there!
