Slatersville post office to be dedicated to fallen soldier Sunday

SLATERSVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) -The post office in Slatersville will be named in honor of a local fallen soldier Sunday.
The renaming dedication to honor Spc. Matthew Turcotte will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. at the post office.
Turcotte lost his life during a training accident in 2017 while he was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado. He was 20 years old.
The bill was sponsored by members of the Rhode Island delegation and signed into law by President Biden in February.
