Small plane makes emergency landing on Massachusetts highway

GREENFIELD, MASS. (WLNE)- A small plane made an emergency landing on a Massachusetts highway Wednesday.

According to Massachusetts State Police, mechanical failure was the reason for the landing on Route 91 in Greenfield.

The plane was able to land successfully, says state police, with no crash or injuries to the two occupants.

Troopers assisted in moving the plane to the side road for traffic to pass safely.

Crews removed the plane from the highway.
