Smiley announces $280,000 for warming centers, overdose outreach services

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Mayor Brett Smiley announced major funds to support cold weather shelters and drug overdose prevention Thursday.

More than $80,000 will go towards increasing capacity at three warming centers.

$200,000 will support opioid overdose outreach services.
