SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Seven Cedars Farm’s Haunted Hayride will be closed for the rest of the season after an accident that occurred Saturday night.

In a Facebook post the farm said that the accident occurred while one of the wagons was driving down the trail, and involved a young girl who worked at the hayride.

The farm added it hopes the actor has a “speedy recovery” and that staff are “devastated” by what happened.

The post also said the Smithfield fire and police departments responded to the incident and “provided the necessary care” for the actor.

Tickets were refunded, and the farm apologized to anyone who had to witness the accident.

It also thanked first responders, the haunted hayride’s staff, and everyone who had attended the hayride during the season.
