Smithfield police to host free car seat safety check

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — The Smithfield Police Department said they’re sponsoring a free event for car seat safety.

Officials said the public is welcome to join officers in checking children’s car seats to ensure their safety on Friday, June 9.

The event will be held at the police department, located at 215 Pleasant View Ave., from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
