Snow across Southern New England creates slippery Tuesday morning commute

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Snow covered Southern New England on Tuesday, causing slippery road conditions during the morning commute.

An ABC 6 News crew experienced slick roads on the drive into Narragansett as snow came down near the sea wall.

ABC 6 saw multiple cars pulled over on Interstate 95 due to the snow.

The unruly weather caused communities to delay schools and issue parking bans.

The snowy weather is expected to change over to rain by the late morning as temperatures rise above freezing.

Drivers were advised to drive slowly and stay vigilant on the roads.

Southern New England has seen unruly weather lately, with every snow shower followed by rain.

Snowmelt and excessive rain created flooding throughout Rhode Island, more than once in the past few weeks for some communities.
