Snow, Mix, Heavy Rain, and Damaging Winds Incoming!

Rain has arrived and it only goes down hill from here with rain intensifying and wind picking up.   Locally, we’ll see a rain event, heavy at times with possible thunderstorms tonight after midnight.  The heavy rain will be accompanied by strong to damaging wind.  A Wind Advisory has been issued and will go into effect this evening through tomorrow morning.  Our state could see gusts of 50-60 mph.  This strong wind could lead to downed trees, power lines.  Coastal flooding is another concern with up to a foot of inundation.  Flood warning has been issued for our area rivers.   Heavy rain will taper off tomorrow afternoon with breezy conditions prevailing and temperatures running around 10 degrees below average.  This system is showing sign of slow departure, keeping gray skies and a chance of rain Friday and Saturday.  Improves by Sunday, high 51 and Monday Solar Eclipse day sunny around 60.
