Snow to rain storms tonight and over the weekend

Snow showers begin later tonight, leading to a quick coating mostly west of 95.

Some in northern and western Providence County could even get around an inch or so, but any sticking snow is very short-lived.

Sleet and eventually rain will takeover throughout the overnight,

Rain then tapers off around lunchtime, leaving us with a mostly cloudy sky the remainder of the day. High temperatures will be mild, in the mid-40s.

After this storm is gone, Friday will be sunnier but windier as well. Expect highs in the low 30s but wind chills in the 20s, so bundle up if you have any Valentine’s Day plans!

Our next storm arrives late in the day Saturday and lingers into Sunday afternoon. Quite the similar one to what we’ll see tonight, we start as snow before changing to all rain Saturday night.

We’ll have more updates on this storm throughout the week!
