Somerset Police say three individuals charged in connection to prostitution ring

SOMERSET, Mass. (WLNE) — The Somerset Police Department said it has concluded an investigation into a prostitution ring which was operated out of two rooms at a local motel.

Somerset police said they noticed suspicious activity at a local motel in February, and determined multiple people were using the rooms to conduct sexual activity with people online.

On March 17, police set up a surveillance operation at the motel to end the activity, and had a detective contact a suspect to meet.

During the conversation, police said the suspect “offered to perform a sexual act for money” and gave a room number for the act.

Somerset police said the detective knocked at the door and confirmed it was the person he had spoken to online.

The detective identified himself and the other officers entered the rooms, detaining the three individuals involved in the prostitution ring, according to Somerset police.

Somerset police said the three individuals will be summoned to the Fall River District Court for the crimes of sexual conducts for a fee and conspiracy.

One individual, Stephen Jameson, was arrested based on two active arrest warrants.

All three have been trespassed from the motel.
