New developments in the pension deal between the state and public employee unions. Sources tell ABC 6 News that one of the unions has voted against the deal.
We’re told that the local 400 union representing professional and technical engineers that work for the state rejected the deal.
That settlement vote is over the lawsuit regarding the 2011 pension overhaul.
There is a gag order in place on this case preventing parties from talking about the proposal.
On Monday, retirees voted overwhelmingly in favor of the deal.
It’s not clear yet what the impact of this no vote will have on the overall proposed settlement.
The last time that a deal was nearly made in this case all of the unions involved had to sign off in order for it to move forward…
If a deal is not reached the case will go to court on April 20th.
