Southcoast Rail construction detours in effect in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Construction on the new Southcoast Rail in New Bedford will cause some traffic detours.

Route 18 lane closures will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Traffic will be diverted to Herman Melville Boulevard until 5 a.m. Thursday.

This round of detours is expected to wrap up on Monday, February 26.
