Southern New England Staycations: Floating Obstacle Course in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — At East Beach, you can literally walk on water!
“It’s something different for the community, something different for the area. Just a lot of fun,” said Amy Goldman, V.P. of Sales for Altitude H2O.
Altitude H2O specializes in inflatable obstacle courses, opening a brand new one right here on the water’s edge.
“Typically people don’t think of going to New Bedford for a Staycation, but now they ought to think about it because it’s really just a beautiful, beautiful beach,” said Goldman.
It features everything from a climbing wall to balance beams, even a floating trampoline–giving kids and adults a fun way to be active.
“Well, it gets you away from the TV, gets you outside, athletic,” said Cheryl Costa of Swansea. “It was a great time. Worth the money.”
Altitude H2O is open now through Labor Day on East Beach in New Bedford. It’s open to ages 6 and up. They send people in groups out on the course every hour on the hour, but we’re told it’s a good idea to arrive about 15 minutes early.
