Southwest to add direct flights to Washington, D.C.

Warwick, RI-  Southwest Airlines announced plans on Thursday to add direct flights from Providence to Washington, D.C. Beginning on November 6th, two daily flights will go from T. F. Green to Reagan National Airport.

On average, Southwest has about 20 flights daily flights in and out of T.F. Green.  Airport and airline officials say this helps keep T.F. Green competitive and is good for business.

The announcement comes on Southwest’s 20th anniversary of being in RI.
