Special Olympics Rhode Island hosts 24-hour Nothing but Net Fundraiser

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Special Olympics Rhode Island and former Rhode Island College Women’s Basketball player Stephanie Coro hosted a “24 Hours of Nothing But Net” event to raise funds starting at 1 p.m. June 22.

The event took place at Coro’s childhood home in North Providence.

The organization said that every hour, Coro would join Special Olympics R.I. athlete Ryan Fleming to make 100 free throws.

The donation goal for the event was $13,000, and had reached $11,000 as of 4:30 p.m. on June 23.
