Spitting match at Fenway: Temp worker, striking union employee allegedly spit on each other

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A freelance worker hired by Fenway Park to fill in for striking concession workers has been arrested.

That’s according to a report from WCVB.

Boston police say 39-year-old Kim Cooper accused a striking worker of spitting on her and calling her a racial slur.

They say they then witnessed Cooper run into the crowd after speaking with officers and spit on one of the union workers.

Cooper was taken into custody and police say a second person said Cooper spit on them too.

She faces assault and battery charges.

We’ve reached out to the union and Aramark for an update on contract negotiations.
