Spring arrives, but it won’t be feeling like it much!

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Happy spring! The vernal equinox was at 11:06 Tuesday night.

Our first full day of the new season will be generally nice, with partly sunny skies and mild temps in the 50s.

A fast-moving line of showers along a cold front will move through during the evening (~6P-9P). This will usher in cold and windy weather for Wednesday night and Thursday.

Wake-up wind chills could be as low as 10-15° on Thursday morning! At least it will be sunny Thursday into Friday.

A more potent storm is possible this weekend. A chilly rain is likely on Saturday, possibly lingering into Sunday or even Monday.

A persistent onshore wind could combine with astronomical high tides to bring minor to moderate coastal flooding and beach erosion on Sunday.
