State officials celebrate Delta Dental’s loan repayment program awardees

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — State leaders celebrated Delta Dental’s loan repayment program at the Rhode Island State House on Wednesday.

The program was launched over the summer and funded by a $5 million grant from Delta Dental.

The eight dentists who were selected this year are eligible to get up to $20,000 a year for four years to help pay off their student loans.

A review committee managed by the Rhode Island Foundation chose the winners.
