State police arrest Bristol man on gun, narcotics charges

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island State Police said that its High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force arrested a Bristol man on firearm and narcotics charges.

Major Kenneth Moriarty said Collin Gaska was charged with possession of a ghost gun, possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation, and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, among several other charges.

The 37-year-old Bristol man was being investigated for allegedly using the U.S. mail system to “obtain illegal narcotics for resale.”

Moriarty said that during a search of Gaska’s residence officers found  a 9mm semi-automatic “ghost gun,” around 170 grams of methamphetamine, 20 grams of GHB powder, a small amount of Ketamine, and narcotics distribution materials.
