State Police confirm K-9 Ruby has been found

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – State Police confirmed early Tuesday morning that K-9 Ruby was found overnight. 

Ruby went missing around 10 a.m. on Monday near Goddard State Park. 

She was located on Tuesday around 1 a.m. not far from where she wandered off. 

When she was located later in the day, State Police say she was a bit tired, but is doing well and back with her handler. 

State Police were grateful to the Warwick and East Greenwich animal control officers who participated in helping locate Ruby. 

Ruby has gotten a star reputation recently, as she took home the award for “search and rescue” dog of the year this past October at the American Humane Hero Dog Awards in LA.
