State Police: Seizure of 330 lbs. of Marijuana, cash in criminal gambling sweep

State Police announced Wednesday at 20 people have been arrested as part of a statewide organized Criminal Gambling sweep.

During the sweep, Police also seized 330 pounds of Marijuana and $311,596 in cash.

The arrests stem from an eight month investigation led by members of the State Police Intelligence Unit and the Office of the Rhode Island Attorney General.

The arrests and search warrants were carried out on Tuesday by the State Police, FBI, U.S Marshals, and several other local police departments.

The following is a list of suspects who were arrested and arraigned on Tuesday, April 12, 2016:

Thomas J. Pilderian, age 45, of Cranston; charged for bookmaking, organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Mark B. Battista, age 39, of Warwick; charged with bookmaking, organized criminal gambling, conspiracy, and 3 counts of possession of controlled substance
Mark V. Marinaro, age 43, of Warwick; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Jason M. Pilderian, age 39, of Scituate; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Joseph R. Brunelle, age 38, of North Providence; charged organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Eric D. Glaude, age 40, of North Providence; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Dustin R. Sears, age 40, of Cranston charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
David J. Disano, age 42 of Cranston; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Jonny E. Lubo, age 44, of Warwick; organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
James J. Petrella, age 31, of Narragansett; charged with bookmaking, organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Timothy J. Moretti, age 46, of Cranston; charged with bookmaking, organized criminal gambling, conspiracy, and violation of probation for prior convictions of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of 1 ounce to 1 kilogram of Cocaine.
Sean W. Furney, age 24, of Warwick; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Brian K. Cipolla, age 48, of Cranston; charged with organized criminal gambling, and Conspiracy
Lewis Silveira, age 50, of Warwick; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
John Depietro, age 41, of South Kingstown; possession with intent to deliver 1 to 5 kilos of marijuana, possession of 1 to 5 kilos of marijuana, and possession of Adderall with intent to deliver
Christopher R. Costantino, age 24, of Warwick; charged with organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Joseph A. Capelli, age 38, of Cranston; organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Louis Scaglione Jr., age 24, of East Providence; organized criminal gambling, and conspiracy
Zhen L. Wu, of Cranston; charged with 5 counts of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances.
