Sticky, steamy start to the week!

We’re off to a hot start this week… literally! Temperatures will range from the mid 80s to low 90s today. However, with increasing humidity, it will feel closer to 95 inland by this afternoon. For that reason, there is a Heat Advisory in place from 12:00 PM Monday – 8:00 PM Tuesday. Make sure you’re taking breaks in the A/C, and drinking plenty of water!

Tuesday will bring more clouds to the forecast, but the heat and humidity stick around (temperatures back in the mid-upper 80s). With a little extra energy, we could see a few scattered thunderstorms in southern New England that could pack a bit of a punch. The SPC has given southern New England a Marginal Risk (1/5) for severe weather Tuesday in the late afternoon and evening. An isolated storm or two could contain gusty, damaging winds as well as some small hail. Stay weather aware!
