Stoneham dog walker arrested for stealing clothes and jewelry

STONEHAM, M.A. (WLNE) – A local dog walker has been arrested after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and property from her clients, police confirmed.
The Stoneham Police Department announced on Tuesday that 38-year-old Andrea Sharby, of Stoneham, was arrested following an extensive investigation that showed she was re-selling items at local pawn shops, and on poshmark.com
Sharby, the co-owner of Walk-About Animal Care Services, had been employed by a Winchester resident for about a year when he noticed clothes and jewelry disappearing.
The Winchester resident estimated about $10,000 worth of merchandise was taken; he had employed Walk-About Animal Care Services to take care of his pets.
Sharby was arrested without incident at her home on May 19th, 2017. Police found several bags of fentanyl on her person when she was being booked at the station.
Sharby was charged with the following offenses:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $250 (three counts)
- Receiving Stolen Property Under $250 (two counts)
- Larceny by False Pretenses Over $250
- Possession of a Class B Drug (fentanyl)
She was released on bail and will be arraigned in Woburn District Court.
