Stop and Shop to close stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts

QUINCY, Mass. (WLNE) — Stop and Shop announced Friday that it will be closing 32 underperforming stores by the end of 2024, including several in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

The locations at 11 Commerce Way in Johnston, RI and 176 Pittman St. in Providence, RI (Eastside Marketplace) will close, as well as locations at 36 New State Highway in Raynham, MA and 932 North Montello St. in Brockton, MA.

Locations in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey will also close by November 2, 2024.
