Storm to bring unsettled weather for holiday travelers

Arm yourself with patience and give yourself plenty of extra time if you’re traveling this holiday. We all know that traveling during the holidays can be quiet the headache.

When we add unsettled weather, it’s like adding salt to the wound. Today remains quiet with increasing clouds this afternoon ahead of this system. Temperatures around the lower 40s.

Overnight, the rain moves in and the wind picks up after midnight. Locally, we should expect the heaviest rain with gusty winds during the morning rush. Rain, heavy at time, will last through the morning, tapering off by late in the day.

Mostly sunny skies around 50 on Thanksgiving day and Black Friday. These dry and cool temperatures will last through early next week.

Meanwhile, National Weather Service has issued a Gale Warning. It’s in effect from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check with your Ferry Service if you’re planning to use it today through Thursday.
